In a joint statement, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping declared that the bond between their nations is not a military-political coalition and does not possess an adversarial or bloc nature.

Additionally, they have no intention of targeting third countries.

The announcement was released on the Kremlin's website and highlights that the relationship between Russia and China is not like the Cold War-era military alliances, but rather exceeds the typical form of interstate cooperation.

The bond between the two nations is mature, stable, self-sufficient, and sturdy, and the friendship between the two peoples is deeply rooted across generations, the document emphasizes.
